Diesel particulate filters (DPF) are filters which are designed to capture soot from the exhaust gases of diesel vehicles, this is to reduce vehicle emissions. Replacing a DPF with a new one from the dealers can easily cost over £1000!

DPF filters have been fitted to most diesel vehicles after 2008, due to strict emission laws.These filters eventually become full of soot, which is then “burned off” to empty and regenerate the DPF. Over time DPF Filters often fail and do not regenerate leaving the car stuck in the dreaded limp home mode.
